This is an essential, ground-based clinic for any climber. We won't be climbing; we'll be 100% focused on ropework and the critical skills you need when things go wrong. What do you do if your partner is stuck, you drop your belay device, or you need to retreat from a route? This course gives you the answers and the hands-on practice, so you can climb with true confidence.

Who is this for? Regular indoor climbers moving outside or any trad climber who isn't 100% confident in their problem-solving abilities.

What you'll learn:

  • Escaping the System: How to get out of the belay system to assist a partner.

  • Safe Prusiking: How to ascend a rope safely.

  • Abseiling: How to abseil past a knot and how to tandem abseil.

  • Assisted & Unassisted Hoists: Simple, effective techniques to help a stuck climber.

  • Problem-Solving: We'll run through common "what if" scenarios.
