Bespoke Private Guiding
Your Adventure, Your way
This is your day, built entirely around you.
Whether you're a family looking for a memorable first adventure, an indoor climber wanting 1:1 coaching, or an experienced walker wanting to master navigation, a private day is the ultimate way to learn and explore.
Instead of a fixed course, you get a qualified RCDI (Rock Climbing Development Instructor) and Mountain Leader all to yourself. We will work together to design your perfect day based on your goals, your pace, and your ambitions.
Why Book a Private Day?
A bespoke day is an investment in a high-quality, personal experience. It's the most effective and rewarding way to be in the outdoors.
Go at Your Pace There's no pressure to keep up with a group or wait for others. The entire day is set to your speed and your energy levels.
1:1 Expert Instruction Get 100% of my attention. We can focus on your specific goals, whether it's building anchor skills, mastering footwork, or gaining lead confidence. This is where you'll make the most progress, fast.
Total Flexibility Want to start a bit later? Need to finish a bit earlier? Want to focus on one single skill all day? No problem. The day is yours to shape.
Climb Your Dream Routes Have you always wanted to climb a classic Dartmoor route but don't have a partner? I will be your partner and guide, safely leading you up the climbs you've always wanted to try.
A Private Experience It's perfect for a special occasion. A birthday, an anniversary, or just a memorable day out for you, your partner, or your family, with no strangers in the group.
What Can We Do? (Ideas for Your Day)
A bespoke day can be anything you want it to be. Here are a few popular examples:
1. For First-Timers & Families
A Private Intro to Rock: Learn the basics of climbing and abseiling in a relaxed, supportive environment, just for your group.
The Ultimate Family Adventure: A fun-filled half-day or full-day of climbing, scrambling, and weaselling, tailored perfectly to your family's ages and abilities.
2. For Climbers
1:1 Performance Coaching: As a Development Coach, I'll analyse your movement and help you break through that grade barrier.
Go from Indoor to Outdoor: A full day dedicated to transferring your skills to real rock. We'll cover building anchors, ropework, and crag safety.
Guided Classic Climbs: Let me lead you up some of Dartmoor's or Devon's most famous routes.
A Private "Learn to Lead" Course: Learn to lead sport or trad at your own pace, with 1:1 instruction
3. For Hill Walkers & Navigators
1:1 Navigation Masterclass: A full day to take you from a total beginner to a confident navigator. We can cover anything from basic map-reading to advanced night navigation.
A Guided 'Epic Tors' Day: Want to tackle a 20km Dartmoor challenge without the stress of navigating? I'll lead the way.
Scrambling Adventure: Let's go "hands-on" and tackle some of Dartmoor's best scrambles.
