What Will My Day Look Like?
Your adventure starts at a stunning, beginner-friendly Dartmoor location (like Haytor or Hound Tor). After a friendly welcome, your instructor (that's me, Jamie!) will get you fully kitted out with a professional-grade helmet and harness.
We begin with a clear, hands-on safety briefing. We don't just tell you, we show you, ensuring you feel 100% comfortable and confident before you leave the ground.
Then, the fun begins! You'll be climbing on a "top-rope," which is the safest and best way to learn, with the rope always secure from above. You'll learn how to belay your climbing partners, working as a team and sharing in the challenge. We'll try a few different climbs, helping you build confidence and learn basic climbing movements.
We'll finish the session with the unforgettable thrill of an abseil—leaning back over the edge and lowering yourself to the ground. It's the perfect end to an amazing day on the rock.
